Winning the biggest detailing show in Europe!
So, What is Waxstock?
Waxstock is the THE largest specialist car care event in Europe, With over 60 stands, 100 brands and thousands of visitors in just one day! Detailers and enthusiasts battle it out to even be entered into the Top 16 showdown.
Then (if lucky enough) The cars are then extensively judged by 5 pro detailers from different countries and scored on several factors including Mileage, original or new paint and if its trailered or driven.
The Detail - Daves MK2 Focus RS
This car came to us a couple of months prior to get it to a show winning standard. We carried out a full paint correction removing swirl marks and small sanding marks from the ultimate green paintwork. This was achieved using Autobead compounds and a large selection of pads and machines!
- We also completed a ' Wheels of package' to remove built up traffic film, tar and iron particles from the arches and calipers. Then a deep steam clean of all the components to ensure every single cm is cleaned. Finally we dressed the arches in Chemical Guys Barebones.

This product is one of our favourites! A hybrid wax formulated with the infusion of graphene as a performance additive. - We also applied precut PPF to the front bumper to protect against any stone chips or damage!
- Dave removed the seats, hand painted parts of the chassis and washed the engine bay!
SHOW WEEKEND... ( and it rains...)
We would like to add that Dave (Owner) absolutely smashed it out of the bag! Dave drove the car over 140 miles to the venue on Saturday morning in the heavy rain! Because of this he parked up in the arena car park, jacked the car up and removed the wheels AGAIN, to make sure it was spotlessly clean! Bringing along his own mobile jetwash he was able to give the car a quick safe wash too! He also carried out the finishing touches including cleaning the glass, ensuring all waterspots and dust is removed and applying tyre shine!
Saturday evening Dave gets the call forward to the TOP 16 Showdown!
We arrive on the Sunday morning and analyse the competition we are up against! Including an absolutely gorgeous MK1 Escort, a perfect OEM example E46 M3, R32 swapped MK1 Caddy fully restored and ANOTHER MK2 Focus RS!
With so much tension all around the car top 16 cars all day, we anxiously waited whilst the 5 judges inspected EVERY single inch of the car inside and out!
At 4pm the stage was set for the prize giving... The judges pointed out there was a very tough decision between 2 certain cars for 3rd/4th place! ( We look around and think this must be the 2 RS Focus's. But the Mk1 Escort placed 3rd, an absolutely mint Abarth placed 2nd. 1st Place is awarded to Daves Focus RS!! Giving him the pride of place spot for next years event, 2 massive trophies and a whole array of detailing products and vouchers!

Whilst we were waiting for the judges to go through all of the scores, we were casually sat having a coffee. Two American chaps who where sat next to us politely jump in on our conversation and we discuss the industry and the differences in the 2 countries!
